Acupuncture can help with Fibromyalgia

Of course, the pic of Miss Piggy in no way reflects any standard protocol for a fibromyalgia acupuncture treatment.  But, it’s Miss Piggy!

Below is a link to a news article out of the Chicago Tribune today that reported on a study that found acupuncture can help with the symptoms of fibromyalgia.  As I have talked about in previous posts, no medicine is one-size-fits-all (repetitive much?).  Fibromyalgia definitively falls into that category.  If your current medications are not keeping  your symptoms at bay, acupuncture can have a synergistic affect when performed by a skilled acupuncturist. The patients in this study had 9 weekly treatments at 20 minutes each with results that in many cases lasted up to a year.  Please do not hesitate to call me or email me with any questions regarding acupuncture and fibromyalgia.
